Amanda Helen Geard

Amanda was born on 17 November 1969 in Malmesbury, just outside Cape Town. She graduated from St. Cyprian's School in 1987 with a Cape Senior Certificate (Std. 10), and went on to study the National Diploma in Library and Information Services at the Cape Technikon from 1988 to 1990.

Amanda began writing at the age of 11 when her family first moved from Malmesbury, and she has been writing on and off ever since. She joined the Adamastor Writers' Guild in 2007, and has been with the Guild from the very first meeting. She has written one novel, which has been shelved for the time being while she concentrates on new writing material. Sadly, for now, she remains an unpublished writer, but hopes to change that in the near future.
